Mario Samayoa, known as malbsMd, was born on October 17, 2002, in Guatemala. He spent his childhood in Zone 5 of Guatemala City, passionately playing football. He was introduced to Counter-Strike at the age of 7 by his father, who used to play with bots after work. Despite his father’s encouragement, Mario didn’t take esports seriously back then. Years later, health problems forced him to quit football, and he returned to Counter-Strike using a new computer intended for schoolwork.

His first step toward a professional career was representing his country in the Guatemalan national team at the World Championship of CS. There, he delivered his first highlight by winning a round against Canada. Although this was the only success in that match, it earned him respect and recognition among local players.

Mario then joined the team Jaguar, but this stint turned out to be unsuccessful. Conflicts within the team, including a fight with a teammate, led to his departure. The team owner criticized Mario, calling him a weak player who would never become a professional. However, in 2018, Mario was given a second chance and rejoined Jaguar. This time, the team found success, winning the ESEA Open Season 28 Latin America, marking the first significant achievement in his career.

From there, his career progressed rapidly. Mario joined FULLSEND, which qualified for the ESL Pro League Season 9 - Americas. FULLSEND was later signed by Infinity, which moved the roster to California and provided training facilities in the U.S. Despite finishing 11-12th at the tournament, Mario valued the opportunity to compete against strong opponents. In 2020, he joined Team One and, within three months, learned Portuguese, becoming an essential part of the lineup.

After the release of CS2, malbsMd stats improved significantly, and his performance at ESL Pro League Season 19 turned heads across the scene. His incredible showing sparked rumors about join malbsMd G2. Finally, on June 28, 2024, he officially joined G2, where he continues to impress. Today, malbsMd age 22, he is recognized as the best player to ever come out of his country, Guatemala, leaving a lasting legacy in the world of malbsMd CS2.
